Hi, fash mag slag again. This will be my second and last post guest blogging for Jenny.
Whoever said that kids are angels? Last night I went to browse at an electronics store and saw the brattiest kid throwing a tantrum. His mother refused to buy him a video game that he wanted, so he resorted wailing, screaming, and pounding his fists on the floor. When he realized that he wasn’t going to get what he wanted, he yelled ‘Mommy, you’re a bitch’ and ran off to sulk in the corner by the DVD players.
Um, hello. If I said that to my parents, there would have been hell to pay when we got home. Not to say that the kid wasn’t going to get bawled out later, but the mother went about her shopping. She didn’t even look embarassed or angry. I was simply shocked. I know I sound like an old man, but that was a ridiculous example of a poorly behaved kid who should have gotten a smack on the face. Most Americans seem to frown on corporal punishment these days and would call childd services over something like that, but honestly, is it that bad? I’m not talkng about abuse, but a simple spanking. Most parents in the world still practice this. I was spanked if I ever got out of line- nothing cruel, but I learned my lesson.
My freinds who are Asian and black generally grew up getting spanked. But many white parents seem to think that you can reason with a child. Well, I have news for you, you can’t. Children will walk all over you, or call you a ‘bitch’ in public. If I were that little boy’s mom, I don’t know if I would spank him, but I would definitely invest in a stun gun or a good lead rod. Kidding, but you know what I mean.
Anyway, if there are any parents out there, spank your kids. I was spanked, as I said, and I think I turned out pretty normal *ahem* Stop laughing! And so what if I now like rough sex, I know how to behave, that’s the important thing (^_^)
