I’ve been trying to write a job application for the last few days. It’s just like when I was at school and uni and had to study for exams - absolutely anything was more interesting than studying. Although it’s not quite the same now, because I didn’t have the internet back then (oh my God, was there such a time?!), so I’d do stuff like clean my room, or go for a walk. Now I just websurf to put it off.

Ordinarily I’d just use my standard CV template, making changes here and there depending on the job, but when my hard drive crashed, I lost all my previous job applications, so I’ve had to start from scratch. That’s probably a good thing, though, because I’ve been using the same format for my CV for the last 10 years, so it’s probably time for a bit of sprucing up. I’m glad I did - I think it looks a lot better now. I’m looking forward to the application being done so I can just stress about what they think of it, instead of worrying that I haven’t worded everything in the best possible way. I’m going to have to get really stuck into it this weekend and get it done - I want to get it emailed off in time for them to get it first thing Monday morning.

Right - off I go to do some more on my application… right after I have a look at the Urban Legends page… they have so much cool stuff there!
