I don’t know whether any of you were trying to leave comments on my blog over the last few days, but there was a MySQL error which meant that you couldn’t, and it also meant that I couldn’t log in to write any new posts But it seems to be fixed now, so all is well.

If noone tried to leave any comments, then I guess there was no point in me mentioning anything, and you probably just thought that I’ve had nothing to say. But I do, and I’ll write more tomorrow, but for now, I’m off to bed!

I’ve got my car I’ve got my car I’ve got my car I’ve got my car!! Guess what I did today?
We eventually got to the car yard 8 minutes before they were due to close (although they said they’d wait for us), and had a look over the car and handed over the money *sigh*. And then I got to drive her home! I’m really pleased with it, and I’ve now read the manual from cover to cover. There are so many cool features I didn’t know about! I’m looking forward to seeing it in the daylight - it was almost 6:00 when we picked it up, and since it’s winter here that meant that it was already dark. But we got it moved under the yard lights so we could have a closer look at the body, just to make sure that it looked all right before we left. Man, it looked cool under the lights. Unlike the pic of the probe I posted a few days ago, mine has paint that changes colour under different lighting conditions, so some of it was a gorgeous deep purple, and other bits were a bluey colour… it looked great.

I got a good deal on insurance, too, so I’m really chuffed. I’ve stalled it already too I always laugh at people when they stall their cars - now it was their turn to laugh at me. Oh well, I’ll get used to the clutch soon. Damn hills!

I like having a blog. I like having somewhere that I can just write down what’s happening, and what’s even better is that some people read it and make comments. I think that’s really cool.

The only downside I can see is having to censor myself. There have been plenty of times where I’d love to get something off my chest, but I hold back because I think it might be a little [insert appropriate descriptor here], and I don’t know what the consequences of writing it will be - whether it’s really worth writing it or not.

I think I should care less about what people think, and just write whatever the hell I want. But I can’t.

I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get my car - the inspection went fairly well today, but there are a couple of things that need to be fixed, so I’ll pick it up tomorrow after work.

It looks like I’ll be missing my first lesson back at TAFE this term - I have to take my new car for a drive! People often skip class because they can’t be stuffed going… well, I’ve only missed one class all year, so I don’t think I should feel too bad about not going tomorrow.

I’m so looking forward to dinner tonight - we’re having a Lenard’s chicken mini roast, with roast vegetables. Yummm.

Well, I’m back to posting here… hopefully for good this time. I decided to put here the posts that I wrote on my blogspot blog, just in case people hadn’t read them, and so they’re all in the one spot now.

We’re back from seeing Spiderman 2… it was ok. I was going to say that it wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be, but I don’t know how good I thought it was going to be. It improved though. Anyway, it was nice to go out to the movies on a Sunday afternoon - I always think it’s weird when I come out of a movie and it’s still day time; I’m used to seeing movies at night!

Now that my weblogs blog is back up and running, I’m thinking that I’ll post there again. I really prefer it to this blog, just because I’d set it up the way I wanted it, and MT has some functionality that blogger doesn’t, and I can’t be stuffed putting a calendar on my blogger blog like I did before!
 
So would those of you who have been so kind as to change your link to me to this page, possibly change it back to my weblogs one? Please don’t throw things at me - I’m sorry!!

I’m finally hungry after eating that enormous schnitzel yesterday. M and I are going to see Spiderman 2 this afternoon. I quite enjoyed the first one - a nice, not-think-too-hard movie. So I’m looking forward to seeing this one. We’re going to get some lunch somewhere first (not the Earl of Leicester!), and then go. Should be good!
