Thanks to Dida for a great party last night! It was nice to catch up with Jules and Helen, as well as meet BB and Helen’s hubby. It was an excellent night! I was disappointed that Sharn didn’t make it - I was told you were coming!!

Today was fairly easygoing. Matthew and I went into town for a while, where we did our usual ‘town things’, ie look at the pets in Harris Scarfe (no kittens today :( ), and have a coffee and cake.

I had a look for the phone I want, which is this one:
Motorola E365
I eventually found it in the Optus shop. It’s available at the Telstra Shop Online, but they didn’t have it instore when I went there today. Go figure. Anyway, I’ve read really good reviews of this phone, and I think it sounds like great value, considering the features you get for the price.

I was going to go for a walk a bit later, but seeing the rain over near Football Park (it’ll never be AAMI Stadium to me) from my window, makes me wonder whether I should just stay home instead! I know, any little excuse for me not to do exercise :)

I mentioned ages ago (sorry about the shitty template!) that Rexona stopped making my favourite deodorant and so I had to get used to a new one. But the other day I ran out, and remembered that I had some in the other bathroom. I thought it was the same kind that I’ve become used to using, but it turned out to be my favourite one. Cool!

OK, so you may be wondering what the hell my favourite deodorant has to do with the post title. What I’m getting at is that the reason I like that deodorant so much is because the smell makes me remember all the good things that were happening when I started wearing it.

Which makes me think of how wonderful the nose is, and how, long after you’ve forgotten something, a smell can bring it all flooding back. And even when you think you’ve forgotten the smell itself, you can smell it and in an instant it’s all fresh in your mind again. I think that’s why I’ve got so many empty perfume bottles that I can’t bring myself to throw away - every now and then I smell them, and it reminds me of the period in my life when I wore them.

It’s the same with Matthew’s aftershave. When we first started seeing each other, he wore a particular type, and when he changed types, I was sad because that was ‘his’ smell, and I had to get used to a new one. But whenever I smell the old type, if he wears it one day, or I’m out and someone else is wearing it, it always reminds me of him and when we were first going out. It brings a smile to my face every time.

Overall, quite happy with the result! Give me Drew anyday :) Thanks to Cat for the quiz!

You are 20% geek
OK, so maybe you ain’t a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you’re probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae. God, I hate you.
