Happy birthday to the lovely Dida! I hope you’re having a fabulous day!!

I ordered some styli for my PDA last night. I’d been looking around local shops for ages, trying to find some nice styli, but couldn’t find any. I went to Pencraft on Friday night, and the woman there was pretty bitchy, I thought, quite unwilling to help, so I didn’t want to give her any of my money anyway. So ner to her.

But I found some cheap, nice-looking styli on the net, and since I couldn’t decide which one to get, I got 3. I rationalise this as one for home, one for work and one to leave in my bag. See? It all makes sense! I have no idea when they’ll arrive (from the US), but I’m hoping they’re good!

Today I went food shopping by myself. I say ‘by myself’ because usually Matthew and I do shopping together on the way home, so shopping by myself isn’t that frequent an occurrence, and worth clarifying.

I remember when I first moved out of home, shopping for groceries was such a novelty. I could try all these new brands and junk food varieties, it was like buying presents for myself. Hence, I didn’t really eat very well a lot of the time.

Today it was as if I’d just moved out of home - in went the TeeVee snacks, BBQ shapes, chocolate biscuits, soft drink, cinnamon donuts, chips… of course I put the token package of minced beef and some pasta sauces in there to make it look as though I do eat food other than junk. But I doubt that the woman at the checkout was fooled.

But I did have MEPS* for lunch today, followed by a Baker’s Delight chocolate croissant. Yummy!

Today Matthew and I went for a walk around the block, and while we were walking uphill, a couple of guys on mopeds rode past us. We’d seen these guys on previous walks, so we had a feeling of what they were going to do. And we were right.

A little while after they got to the top of the hill, they disappeared, and then we saw two bright headlights, one next to the other. They paused for a while, obviously savouring the anticipation of the descent.

You know when professional cyclists are coasting downhill, and they sit as far back on the seat as possible, and lean down to the handlebars so that they’re more aerodynamic? Well, these two moped guys came whining down the hill, in full aerodynamic cyclist mode. Heh - stupid moped guys! We couldn’t help but laugh at them.

I have my phone! It arrived yesterday morning, so admittedly I wasn’t as productive at work as I could have been. I’m very happy with it - the screen is brilliant. In true me-style, I’ve already dropped it and put some scratches on the screen. I was pretty pissed off, but then I thought that it would have happened sometime, and I should just get over it. So now I love my phone again Mmmm inanimate object.

I took some photos with it, but since I don’t have a USB cable yet, I can’t transfer them to my computer; I’ll buy one from eBay soon.

I know lots of people don’t like reality tv, so out of consideration to those of you who fall into that category, I won’t make you read what’s underneath if you don’t want to. Topics of discussion include Survivor and My Restaurant Rules, so consider yourself forewarned.

I went and saw Van Helsing last night. I quite enjoyed it, particularly the bit where Hugh Jackman is wearing not much. But of course that’s fairly predictable.

And I saw Wondrous Oblivion with the always-lovely Cat on Friday night. The movie was ok, but the previews they showed before the movie were awful. There was one starring the Olsen twins, one animated one about a boy getting a train to the North Pole, and one or two others that I blocked out of my memory. Still, the company was fabulous

I ordered my new phone (see post below) on Friday - hopefully I’ll have it sometime next week. Yay! I rang almost every Telstra shop in the book, trying to get one instore, but none of them had it, so I ordered it online. Hopefully the online shop still has stock. They’ve charged my credit card, so they’d bloody better. I can’t wait to get it!!

I went to a housewarming this afternoon with Matthew at Morphett Vale. Quite a long drive for us! It seemed to take hardly any time to get back - isn’t it weird how car travel is often like that.

I seem to have got into the groove again of only posting on Sundays - there were a couple of periods where I’d post every Sunday for a few weeks, with nothing in between, then do a couple of posts during the week, and then lapse back into Sunday posting. I’ll have to try to rectify that.

I’m hungry.
