M and I went into the city yesterday, and while we were there we thought we’d go and see some of the Tour Down Under. I’ve been to at least one of the stages every year it’s been on, and it just wouldn’t have felt right if I’d missed out on it totally this year. It was good fun, although it was quite hot in the sun, and since we didn’t have a hat or anything we didn’t stay long. I had my camera with me, though, and took some photos, which you can look at here if you’re interested! I’ll eventually put a link to them in my sidebar.

I downloaded a cool app for my PDA at work when I got home today. It’s called Le Tour 2004, and it has info on all this year’s stages, teams and riders for the Tour de France. I just installed it then, and it looks pretty cool. It’s purely for information, so you can’t enter any data. It would have been good if there were a short bio about each of the riders, but I guess that would have made it fairly big. But if you’re into cycling, and want to try it out, then it’s here.

I knew there was something else! Le Tour de France started yesterday - yay! I watched highlights of the Prologue on TV tonight. I hope they’ll show a couple of live stages like they did last year. I can’t believe it’s been a year already! It’s bizarre seeing Stuart O’Grady in his new team colours, and not the green of Crédit Agricole… now I’ll have to get a Cofidis cycling outfit to replace my Crédit Agricole one!
