For this week’s theme, the first thing I thought of was a photo I took soon after I arrived in London last year, but then I thought that it was pretty puerile so I changed my mind.
Instead, I have this photo, which I took when we went to Sydney last January. It’s not funny ha ha but I thought it was funny peculiar:
The main reason I thought it was odd is we have a very similar sculpture to this one in the city I live in, except it’s horizontal!

Yeah that is a strange one. Living in NL has taught me to not even blink an eye at stuff like that. There are so many bizarre things here that just go by the title ‘art’ hehe They stick it in any bare space.

How strange, but at the same time wonderful. There are so many odd pieces of art around the world, some of which I have a job calling art. hehe

That is unusual! What is it?

Denny, I don’t think it’s meant to be anything, just a weird-looking sculpture!

I like this piece of sculpture, it seems to have movement like each piece is balancing on top of each other. Reminds me of a (futuristic) totem pole.
Thank you for sharing - and thanks very much for stopping by my site.
Have a great weekend!

Holy stack of double tetrahedrons Batman!
He escaped by jumping from the balcony and sliding down the tetrahedrons! But it hurt!

It is funny the things they call art and put on display in public places! Thanks for stopping by. Have a fun Saturday!

That is weird/funny, strange.

That is very interesting looking. How odd that you’ve seen a similar one in horizontal orientation.
Happy Saturday and my photo’s up.

I wonder if both pieces were by the same artist? We had a piece of sculpture at our university that had a few “twins” at various places around the world. Our student newspaper would post photos of them from time to time.
My photo is up.

I must’ve missed that when I was in Sydney. I saw a bunch of cars stacked up on each other, though.

Heh, it’s like a kid’s tower of blocks… Art is really funny sometimes.
I’ve posted, too.
Oh, and the Australian money - I think they look great, especially the coins! But the bills do resemble play money

well now, this is a good twist this week…the theme being funny. Hmmmmm, you’re right. Funny COULD be and IS ‘odd’ also.
Great representation of the Saturday’s theme.

I’d hate for that to fall on me. Eek.
Oh.. and in my photo, it was a military ritual.

it’s really cool, isn’t it? I think the best part of SPH is that everyone picks something different.
