Holy schmak, I’ve been letting the week get away from me. I wanted to do more posts, but darn it if I wasn’t crazy busy at work all this week. Anyhoo, watched my first “real” episode of LOST last night. I’ve watched all of season 1 on DVDs and a friend recorded the 1st 3 eps from season 2, so I could get caught up. And you know what, last night’s eppie was kind of disappointing for me. It was still good, but not as good as some of the other eps. The Hurley flashback was so-so, and the ending’s usual kumbaya moment was too extended. Gotta give props to Hurley though for his Korean–his accent was actually better than the real Korean dude’s when they first started. But his whole angst about people “changing” in the face of an unexpected windfall wasn’t very compelling to me. And why would his friend all of a sudden be all shocked like that after finding out Hurley had won the lottery? I’d think he’d be a lot more happy and excited for him.
It was nice finding out that those crazy “others” on the beach actually turned out to be the tail section passengers (who seemed to have had a harder time of it than the middle section passengers), but the revelation that the old white dude was Rose’s husband, Bernard, was like, eh. So I guess Ana Lucia became a sort of de facto leader because she’s all tough? She was either a cop or drug dealer in her other life–she looked like she knew her way around a gun. And it looks like her group found another “hatch” early, but I guess that one doesn’t force them to do the number typing-in thing? Still a lot of mysteries to unravel, so I’ll keep tuning in… It’s been so long since I’ve seen a show on regular broadcast TV–all the ads were driving me nuts! I don’t have Tivo or anything, so I had to sit thru them. I read somewhere just recently that there are like 16 minutes of ads for an hour show on network TV? Gad, that’s insane! Good thing this is the only regular prime time show I’m watching.
One more thing: just read that the guy who plays Sawyer on Lost was robbed at gunpoint in his own home in Honolulu–man, that’s gotta suck. Of all the guys on the show, I guess he’s the one I find most attractive, even though he reminded me all too much of Kid Rock when the show started. He comes across as a total asshole in the beginning, but as you get to find out more about him, he turns out to be only about half asshole. He gets all the funny lines and I like his dimples
Jack’s too sensitive or something. He’s got the messiah complex and he really does cry too much.

I just had to say that I was a bit ‘lost’… as I’m probably the only person who’s never watched Lost. Maybe when Abby’s in college, I’ll rent the whole series and do a marathon…

I decided to go check out oceanicflight815.com today…lots of commentary there. Agree with you, the reaction from Hugo’s friend did not seemingly fit the situation. Maybe they were panning the camera for too long like they do in soap operas?
There is talk that the folks in the back of the plane have had food all along (since they found the hatch) and that because of this, they went all Lord of Flies on each other…so only a few of them remain.
As for commericals, we can download the eps on ITunes now.
Typical, people in the back of the vehicle get different treatment! lol

yah, this eppie didn’t do it for me that much. i think they pushed the sexyness w/ kate, too. i mean, she’s already hot, no need to make it so much more obvious. that’s just lame.

pooh - I think you should do it! That way you’ll be in the loop
coffeedog - hard to believe they’d get all lord of the flies in just over a month, but you never know…
missfee - sorry about that! Should’ve mentioned that it would have spoilers–I posted the warning on the wrong blog!
cin - yeah, that was all “whatever” for me too; were the writers sleepwalking, or what? Hope it was just a fluke…

I haven’t seen enough episodes of that show, so forgive my ignorance. That having been said, what do they eat on that show to stay alive? Does the Korean lady kill a wild boar and make bossam? I don’t get it.
