The only good thing (if there is a good thing) about getting injured is the bruise. Bruises should be worn like badges of honour - if you don’t have a huge bruise, then you weren’t really hurt so stop your whinging.
I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I fell down the stairs, and got a bit of a bruise. Well, it is now growing to maturity. On Sunday it looked like this:

Oh lord, that looks nasty! Almost like the bruises I got after I went snowboarding for the first time. That was ugly.

Yeah, Steph, it’s a bit nasty. Fortunately it’s not really hurting much any more - only when I poke it (yeah, I know…). I’ve never tried snowboarding, but I guess that’s not much of a surprise since I’ve never been to the snow!

Dawn: I sure did - although I think bruises are worse in that area because the blood vessels are closer to the skin. Or I could have just made that up then because it sounded good. But I don’t think the knock was commensurate with the bruise.
