Try crossing your legs next time!
People at work have been popping out kids left, right and centre this year. One guy’s fiancée had their first child in January, another guy’s wife had one last Saturday, yet another guy’s wife is due in March, and another in June. Never mind what the Chinese calendar says, I reckon this year is the Year of the Baby. What the hell is in the water?

My tasteless comment for the day will be that the new form of birth control isn’t a pill, it’s a woman filling her vagina with concrete.

I took over from a woman who went on maternity leave. She’s now knocked up again, so it looks like I’ll be keeping her gig. During that time though, two other women have disappeared to pump one out & another has only a few months to go! Management has said, “when the chair responsible is found, it will be destroyed!”

Well, they do say that they happen in 3’s… That’s how it seems to happen here at work and in my family. Once one person gets pregnant, a whole group follows suit!

Well, they are following your finance minister’s wishes, he did say to have more kids. Also the three thousand dollars they get as a baby bonus is handy.

That would be rather uncomfortable, JR (not to mention weighty)… I think I’ll stick to the pill
Ha ha, Pete!
Maybe there’s a similar offending chair here…
Maybe, Miss Qt! There are so many people here with kids now, it’s bizarre - it seems like it all happened in the space of a year or two!
Don’t worry, Miss Macy, I’m sure you’ll be able to avoid it for as long as you want to
Maybe it’s the cool thing to do, Yaya - in which case I am decidedly uncool
Unfortunately that is the only reason some people do have them, Kunaal… although the kid is going to cost them a whole lot more than 3 grand. But of course they don’t think about that. All they care about is the new TV or new whatever they can buy now.

I put it down to being a really cold winter last year. Makes sense to me. Lots of expecting mothers around the place. Prob cause of the increased price of living ppl could not afford extra blankets or did not to put the heater on

I know! I know 7 pregnent people!

It sure does seem like more people are having kids these days. And getting married in greater numbers, in general, too. It must be a generational thing–it seems like the generation before us were more against marriage, while the younger people are more willing to give it a shot. Er, not ready to become a mother yet, though

it’s funny to read this because just today a co-worker and I were talking about the snow that is about to hit us tonight. they said that, if there’s a blizzard or a snow that year, there’s always seem to be an influx of kids 9, 10 months later. So my question is, did you get a lot of snow last year? wait? IT DOESN’T SNOW in Australia, right? Am I right?

Its exactly the same here….one of the guys here announced he was having twins a couple of weeks ago and then last week two people anounced that they were having a baby.
One of them must be a new years eve conception.

Maybe so, Pookie! I guess it’s a good way to keep warm
It sounds like it’s not just my work, Jessica - it happening everywhere. Arrrgghhh!
Yeah, Steph, I wonder why that is. Maybe the former generation were telling us that they don’t need to get married etc, and that made us want to do it
It doesn’t snow where I am, Groove, but it does snow in some parts of the country.
It’s bizarre, isn’t it Toni! It’s an epidemic!!

No epidemic here.
