Well, Christmas is over for another year. It’s sort of an anticlimax, isn’t it? But I got lots of cool stuff, so I’ve been playing with that
I had a very slight hangover on Christmas day, because of drinks with the neighbours the night before, but once I started eating (and kept eating… and kept eating), I felt a lot better. Some family came over on Christmas night, and after they left M and I went to see the Southwark lights, which is a display put on by the Southwark Brewery every year. It’s the same display every year, but I still like going to see it.
Yesterday, we all went to Wallaroo (around 160km north west of Adelaide) to visit more family. It was a beautiful day, but just a fraction too sunny to walk on the beach. Yeah I know - I’m a wuss. I burn easily, ok!!
It’s been a nice few days, and now there’s nothing to look forward to… except my birthday in a couple of weeks
But then that’s it for the whole year
Sometimes I think it sucks being born at the beginning of the year, because once it’s mid-January, there’s nothing until Christmas!

Goodness we have such a huge family that we have holidays all year long!, I am early March and I share my b-day with my Uncle and my Nephew, and then from there we don’t hardly go a monthe between b-days, August has 8 Birthdays and 3 Anniversaries. That is an expensive month.
You should enjoy your sun we are hovering in the mid 30’s and are expecting a cold snap soon!

Aren’t you looking forward to New Year’s? I know it’s not as good as Christmas, but it’s another reason to eat and drink, which is good enough for me!

Now I’m waiting for the New Year and then my birthday is in April and then there’s summer. I’ll survive!

I know the feeling, my birthday is December 15, just a little over a week before Christmas. After New Years, it will be winter ennui brought on by the freezing old and lack of daylight

Dawn: I know which one I’d rather be facing! Aaah, more perfect weather today!
Kunaal: Are you going to have a big party for your 21st?
Jessica: My family has birthdays during the year, but I was being a selfish cow and talking about opportunities that I have to receive presents
Missfee: It does! I like having Christmas during summer. Although if I’d always had it during winter, I’d probably like that too
Steph: I’m definitely looking forward to New Year’s, especially since we actually have plans this year!
JaG: At least your birthday’s not so close to Christmas!
fashmagslag: Were you one of those poor kids like M who always used to get combined birthday/Christmas presents?

Yup, that was me
