So… how about that lovely weather we’ve been having the past couple of days? Pffft. It’s meant to be warming up at this time of year, not going back to nipples-screaming arctic weather, complete with heavy rain and gale-force winds. Geez - get with the month already - this is the southern hemisphere!
M’s making a stew for tea tonight. I am absolutely starving, and I don’t know whether I can wait two more hours until it’s ready. We both contemplated ordering pizza tonight, and having the stew tomorrow, but it does smell really good, and I’m looking forward to eating it. If I haven’t gnawed my arm off in starvation in the meantime. We have no snacks in the house at all - how can that be? We went shopping after work, and had the healthiest basket I’ve ever had - vegetables, meat, bread and milk. Of course, anyone looking at it would think that that’s the sort of stuff we always buy. Hahahahaha!
I’m doing a 2-day Senior First Aid course starting on Monday. I’m one of the first aid officers at work, and seeing as I know virtually nothing about first aid, it was fairly prudent that I get some training. So by the end of Tuesday, I should be your one-stop First Aid shop. I’m just worried that by the time I need to use it, I’ll have forgotten what to do. Never mind - to use an Aussie expression, “She’ll be right, mate!” I hope.
This weekend was meant to be the celebratory dinner for having finished everything with M’s house, but we haven’t finished everything yet. There isn’t much to go though - just move the rest of the stuff out, and clean the house; we should be finished tomorrow. We thought we could go tomorrow night, but after cleaning all day we probably won’t feel like going home, getting ready, and going out again. Then we thought we could go during the week, but after work we just want to go home and veg anyway. So it looks like it will be next weekend. At least that gives us the week to finish off any last-minute stuff that we mightn’t get done this weekend. But I’m really hoping there isn’t anything - we’ve spent so much time there already, and it looks so much better.

You get to make-out with a first aid dummy! *snigger*
I did mine (Snr. First Aid)… oh, must be a decade ago. The few times where I have thought I might need it, it has all come flooding back.

Senior First Aid, eh? Interesting. I wonder if they appropriately “age” the dummy, if a dummy is being used…

lol - yeah, I like to pad my cart with a cucumber and some raw green beans to offset the Spicier Nacho Doritos, DoubleStuff Oreos, Reese’s Cups, Fritos and blocks of cheese. You know, so people don’t think I’m a total pig.
Not sure it works though.

What’s to know? I would just amputate any wound, no matter how minor

“nipples-screaming arctic weather” Ha Ha that cracks me up!
Bummer that you have to wait another week to celebrate, It’s cold here too and I must say stew sounds wonderful!

It was really nice, c’lam - we had some more for dinner tonight :d
Did you end up having pizza, QM?
:P~~~ Sam!
Hopefully I’ll remember it if I ever need to!
Gawd, I hope not, Steph - the thought of giving mouth-to-mouth to a prune doesn’t do much for me.
Thanks, yaya - hopefully I’ve still got the photos! If I didn’t delete them from my phone then there’s no problem, but if I did, then they’re on my dead hard drive
The checkout people probably see a lot of that, Dawn! I like to think they’re easily fooled, but I suspect not
Good point, JR! I should have said that when I was told I was going on training - I might have got out of the job!
We’re determined to have everything finished tomorrow, Jessica. We’ve spent every weekend for the last month there, and we’re both sick of it.

Pizza….we had it last Saturday night…..couldn’t help myself.
And I think the certificate is only valid for a year and then you’re supposed to have a refresher (thats the deal up here anyway).

It probably wasn’t as cold here as you get, Missfee, but it was cold enough for me! I can’t stand being cold.
It was very nice, Dawn
I hope everything’s going well with you!
You’ll have to get some soon, QM!
What pizza being so cheap now, Toni, there’s really no excuse not to have it every now and then. Yes, we were told to do a CPR refresher every year, and the full Senior First Aid course every 3 years.
I know what ramen is now, Killy! I didn’t know until I read JR’s blog today. I meant to ask you but I forgot
