Another day was spent cleaning stuff out of M’s house today. My legs and arms are buggered from walking to and from the skip, piling things into it, and then spending what felt like ages washing walls. The good news is that the skip is pretty much full, and there are only a few things left to put in tomorrow. Unfortunately there’s still a bit of painting to do, but not very much. Oh, except for the trim we’ve decided to do in the other room. Sigh. But it really does need to be done, and will make a big improvement. We’re still hoping to be finished by our previously-estimated due date of next weekend, which is when we planned to go out for dinner to celebrate the renovations and cleaning up being over.
I was covered in dust by the end of the day, so as soon as I got home I had a shower. Isn’t it amazing how much difference a shower can make? I feel so nice and refreshed now.

Showers are the best. I’m off to take one now, and then go to bed- at 5AM- I’ve been such a night owl tonight! Just when I was trying to adjust my sleeping habits to normal ones. At least I don’t have to work today!!
Anyway, you sound like a good land lord- lots of people in your position have a ‘it’s the tenant’s problem’ attitude. Good for you and the hubby!

I love warm showers in the winter and cool showers in the summer. I also like to use shower gels, so, I am really refreshed !!
Happy Saturday !

Wow - that’s a lot of work! I’m impressed with your ability to stick to your schedule. I’m afraid I’m a bit of a slacker when I’ve just had enough. Good luck and that dinner after next weekend will be well worth it so order the most expensive thing on the menu - you deserve it!

Boy you guys sure do work hard. You’ll deserve that celebratory dinner! And I agree a shower can work wonders, I think that is especially when you get back from camping.

You are a night owl, JR! I’d find that to be a hard sleeping habit to get out of
I like shower gels, too, Dawn - they’re much nicer than ordinary soap.
They do, c’lam! They make a huge difference.
I’m a bit that way too, yaya - once I’m done for the day it’s hard to get motivated to do that bit more.
Hopefully only a week to go, Jessica, and then that’ll be it. Fingers crossed. I’m not big on camping, but I can imagine it would be great to have a nice, long shower when you get back

Showers are nice in their own right, but nothing can beat a nice loooooong candle-lit bubble bath. I found this wonderful lavender milk-bath at Walmart of all places!

Baths are great, Heather! The only thing I don’t like about them is having to modify the water temperature all the time. I just need a spa so I can sit there as long as I like without the water getting cold

ehm…yeah I hear you about the modifying the temperature bit, but just imagine yourself being a queen and your servants are pouring fresh hot water into your perfumed bath to keep you pleased and comfortable…On second thought, maybe I imagine too much!

That would be nice Heather… unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be acquiring servants any time soon. Or queen status for that matter
