My computer is stuffed. I’ve been having problems for a while now, and it’s driving me crazy. I’m umming and aahing about getting a laptop, but I’m not sure. The big thing that getting a laptop has going for it is that I can get it via salary sacrifice, which will mean that I end up paying a lot less for it than I would if I bought it myself. The same benefits don’t apply to a desktop, though, so a laptop would definitely represent a better deal. I’m not overly fond of laptops, but I’m sure I’d get used to it. And there’d be a lot more room on my desk!

Yeah, I got a Dell catalogue from work, and we’ve also got some suppliers that I might be able to get a good deal from. We’ll see!

Get a laptop! I went from a desktop to a laptop and its wicked! You can just pick it up and take it places. If you want to.

Only get a laptop if you need if for work…they are great, but if you don’t plan or need to take it with you on the go, just get a PC. Besides, they are so much cheaper.
Also, if where you live isn’t cramped, a PC is fine.

laptops are better - you can email from the couch, blog from your bed… plus, if you’re on a long train journey you can take it with you and watch a dvd.

Heyyyy… blogging from bed! A very persuasive argument.
Desktops are cheaper,JR, but the way I’m planning on doing it, the laptop may work out cheaper. I’ll have to do the numbers and see.
