We’ve got a leak in our roof
Well, it’s either that, or the horizontal rain that we experienced the other day got into a vent, and then seeped through the ceiling. Either way, what started out as a small spot of seeping water last night escalated into bubbling paint and more drips by the time we got up today. So M decided to drill some holes into the ceiling to let the water out, and hopefully prevent any more damage. There was obviously a lot of water trapped in the ceiling, because a steady stream of water came out for a few minutes after the first hole was drilled. M drilled another hole where it seemed water was gathering, and soon we had two steady streams of water. It was sort of cool to watch in a what-a-bugger kind of way. Our own little rain inside! Anyway, hopefully insurance will cover some of it; we’ll investigate tomorrow.
I bought some shoes to replace my rattly work ones. On the one hand, I’m pleased I got them because they look cool, and it’ll be good to wear new shoes. On the other, they’re FM boots, and I don’t know whether I really want to wear them to work every day. I guess I’ll get used to them. And I’ve got some long skirts that I now have shoes to wear with, so that’s good.

Well, there hasn’t been any more leaking, but it hasn’t rained since, so we don’t know whether it’s fixed yet or not
I guess we’ll see towards the end of the week!
Thank_you_ for a great day! Those pancakes were yummy! I’ll have to get the ones with ‘the lot’ next time though :d

riiiiite.
I’ve decided.
I’m teaching myself to make pancakes with riceflour and that no-egg egg substitute stuff, and i’m allowed to eat cream, maple syrup and strawberries etc… so the next breakfast will be here, at the supermodel apartments, (so beautiful they don’t have to be functional :))

JustAGirl: It’s definitely nice to have new shoes. I didn’t know that buying ‘any’ pair of shoes was going to be so hard though!
Cat: Disastrous as in the consistency, or the taste? At least you know now where to improve!
